"Ship ahoy!" - Pirate theme party ideas.

40" ‟Pirate Ship”

Designing decor for children's parties can be so much fun! Creating magical memories that you know will last for many years is one of the best things about our job!

All little boys love pirates and pirate parties.
The ‟Pirate Ship” Microfoil® is a fantastic balloon. It works really well for decor and centrepiece design, too!

I love this ‟Arrrgh, A Birthday Buccaneer!” centrepiece deign that is featured in the Qualatex® Balloon ideas section on www.Qualatex.com.

From the pirate ship right through to the wonderful pirate hat base filled with hidden treasure, it is simply perfect for a pirate party!

18" ‟Birthday Mate Pirate Ship” #11765 #11767 (pkgd.)
11" ‟Pirate's Treasure Map" #37234 (50 ct.)
5" ‟Skull Face” #96597 (100 ct.)

Here is some pirate themed balloon decor that I created for a photo shoot for Pioneer® Europe. The columns with the arch made a perfect backdrop, but with a few more balloons added to arch, this would make a great entrance arch, too!  Entrance decor is perfect for setting the scene and welcoming the guests as they arrive at the party!

For each of the columns I used:

16 - 11" ‟Pirate Skull & Cross Bones” balloons #12566
24 - 5" Red balloons #43548
24 - 5" White balloons #43607 - I also mixed in some 5" ‟Pirate Skull” balloons too!

The arch:

3 - 24" Deco Bubble balloons
3 - 11" ‟Pirate Skull & Cross Bones” balloons

I used the Rachel Ellen, Pirate Partyware Bunting to link the columns and the balloons together.

The Rachel Ellen Party Range is not available in all territories, so please check your Qualatex Everyday catalogue or with your Qualatex distributor to find out.

32" ‟Happy Skull,‟
#17510
#17623 (pkgd.)

We can do pirates for little girls, too! Simply change from the usual pirate colours and create decor using Pinks and Purples along with Black and White!

This 32" ‟Happy Skull,‟ has a very friendly look.

18" ‟Birthday Skull Bow & Crossbones”

#41588 (pkgd.)

I think that this design created by Lisa Swiger,  CBA, of Blooming Balloons, Raleigh, North Carolina, U.S.A. would be perfect for a girl's pirate party! Lisa has created a column using 11" Wild Berry with 11" Black & Silver ‟Goth Scroll.” The curly Black 260Q's add visual movement to this design and the ‟Happy Skull,‟ makes the perfect topper, especially with the added bow!

I just wanted to conclude this post with these lovely "Pirate and Gang" designs by Fiona Fisher, CBA, of Worldwide Balloon Decor, in Portadown, Ireland and Bob Armstrong, CBA, of Doctor Bob Balloons Unlimited, in Barry, Wales. These are just some of the designs that are taught on the "Twisting made Easy Course," that is taught in the U.K. CLICK on the link for more details, dates, and locations.

‟Yo ho ho,” and have a great ballooning day!
